The following itinerary is subject to change at short notice; it is meant only as a brief synopsis of what to expect during the Lapland Experience adventure.

During our adventure, who knows..., we may see the Northern Lights...

 

DAY 1,  Arrive to Rovaniemi. Finland.

I will met you at Rovaniemi airport and transfer to your hotel.

 

DAY 2,  80 kms.

In the morning clothing and safety gear delivery. Safety instructions and snowmobile driving around Rovaniemi. Visiting Santa Claus Village.

 After the “mandatory” visit to Santa Claus, come back to Rovaniemi for lunch and prepare our baggage.

In the evening start the expedition driving until our first accommodation: the Snow Hotel.

 

DAY 3,  230 kms.

This is a long journey, could take a long 10 hours or even more. We will wake up early and after breakfast we will drive to our next accommodation... We'll do some stops on the way for petrol and short brakes.

Lunch on an ice-locked island where we cook in an open fire a tipycal Finnish snack.

Tired and happy we will arrive to Levi. In your hotel you can take a sauna before go bed and rest for the next day ride.

 

DAY 4,  117 kms

This shorter journey will take us to the place where we'll meet our dogs teams. After breakfast we drive up north to Hetta in the outermost northwest tip of Finland. This town is in the municipality of Enontiekiö where a nineteen percent population are ethnic Sami.

We'll do some stops on the way for petrol and short brakes. We won't have lunch during the ride but snacks.

Once in Hetta you will enjoy a well-deserved rest in one of the most wild places in Finland.

 

DAYS 5-6 and 7,  120 kms.

Three full days of wilderness mushing and overnight accommodation in comfortable log cabins. During this three days we'll covering 120 kms. You will drive your own team.

After a farm tour, we then go out on the first activity morning for a quick taster ride to make sure that everyone is comfortable with the basics before setting off for three full-on days of mushing. Overnights are spent in comfortable wilderness log cabins.

 

DAY 8,  End of the activity.

After breakfast, on the departure morning before the departure of the Enontekio flight, you can go to the farm to feed or say goodbye to your favourite dogs.
